Upper Canada College was founded in 1829 and is an IB World School, enrolling 1,260 students in Senior Kindergarten through Year 12, including 88 boarders from around the world. Located in central Toronto on 35 acres of green space, UCC's mission to deliver transformational learning experiences is supported by expert faculty, cutting-edge facilities and wide-ranging co-curricular offerings. Approximately 20 per cent of students receive financial assistance from the school's sector-leading program, with $6 million available annually to Canadian students. Academic Program Overview

UCC’s academic journey, from Senior Kindergarten to Year 12, is delivered through the full continuum of International Baccalaureate Programmes, globally recognized as the gold standard for university preparation.


Through UCC's Graduation Pathways students earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) along with either the International Baccalaureate Diploma or International Baccalaureate Course Certificates (depending on their pathway choice).


Childcare and Extra/Co-Curriculars

The After School Program (ASP)* offers a multitude of services for our boys and parents, including but not limited to the following:

supervised after-school care for our families between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

a nutritious snack to help revitalize the boys’ energy to get through a longer school day

educational assistance in our homework sessions from our ASP staff, guided by our Wernham West Centre For Learning personnel

engaging the boys in creative, physical or technology experiences in a structured but fun and relaxed environment

providing three types of after-school clubs to challenge and educate our boys on different levels (active bodies, active minds or combination clubs).
